Project Narrative

Our clients, a young couple with kids, purchased their home during the last recession. Many years later, they decided it was the time to revamp their home in a series of phased projects, beginning with the speakeasy-inspired home office and the livable-yet-luxurious foyer.

A Gentleman's Office

With the goal of making this home office the best room of the home, we designed a space with a gentlemen’s club-meets-speakeasy vibe that is as fit for hosting an elegant evening in as it is for hardworking days behind the desk. Pieces by Jonathan Adler, Restoration Hardware, Burke Decor, and more come together to create the unexpected elegance and seduction of this magnificent multi-purpose space.

Family Friendly Foyer

Too small to be a formal living room, and much too large for a mudroom, the entry foyer provided a bit of a design mystery. Inspired by the waiting area in Downton Abbey, and surrounded by the opulence of the home’s Edwardian architecture, our team rose to the occasion and created an upscale version of a kid-friendly foyer to house the everyday essentials. The perfect cocktail of real life and regal luxury.
