Project Narrative
We were tasked with designing the living area, bedroom, and loft into a functional and sumptuous space. Since this bachelor loves to entertain, I knew I had to maximize every square inch to work for him and not against him. I loved that he wanted to incorporate some of his sci-fi memorabilia and his amazing PacMan machine, and it had to be carried out in an artful and sophisticated way (obviously). I took the liberty to get a few inspirations from Batman and Iron’s Man’s bachelor pads, because why not!

From the start, the client knew he didn’t want a traditional dining area, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity to fit in his unique PacMan machine in his non-dining space. But for the occasional entertaining, we wanted to make sure there were options. So we selected a beautiful collapsible console table which expands to a dining table that seats 10! The console table serves as an anchor for the gorgeous art by Gary John, it also helps balance out the playful colors of the Pacman Machine and the sexy bar cabinet. Not only is it his distinctive style, but the Pacman machine provides the perfect fun pop of color in an otherwise chic and monochromatic room while the bubble chandelier adds a sense of glam.
Across the bar is a beautiful 6” tall custom art. We had a 16 ft tall ceiling and an opportunity to place a large format art. We commissioned the very talented Amber Goldhammer with this extra special piece. The Pacman silhouette was perfect to incorporate the fun pops of color that the Pacman machine has, but the best part about this piece are the numbers that are incorporated inside the silhouette. Those numbers are the client’s personal highest score on his machine! Talk about custom art!
Multi Functional Office
Another space that needed to be multi functional was this gorgeous loft. It is a large space full of natural light. On one end of the room we have the office with classic mid-century icons like the Eames Lounger. Across from this space is a lounge area with a bespoke murphy bed. Lastly, you will find our custom cocktail the ‘Stark Sour’ created specially for this client by yours truly, which was inspired by this space!
