I have some exciting news to share with you… I’m hitting. the. road! Again. But instead of working up a sweat designing a hotel room in the Berkshires, I’m headed to North Carolina, where I’ll get to sit back, relax, and take in everything new and fabulous coming to the design world.
Wait, wait, wait — what are you talking about, Rydhima?
You’re right, let’s reel it in and start at the beginning…
Meet the Biggest Design Event in North America
The first thing to know is that High Point Market (HPM) is the biggest home industry show in North America. In the spring and fall every year, the town of High Point, North Carolina hosts tens of thousands of designers, vendors, and craftsmen. Over 180 buildings’ worth of showrooms and exhibitions open up, letting industry pros — like yours truly — test out new products, discover new innovations in home design, and witness the shifting trends of the industry.
My favorite part, in case you wanted to know… these exhibitions include designers from over 100 different countries! You know I love design that tells a story, and this event… well, it’s like thousands of stories coming together into one giant tapestry — the story of design and history in the making. Ahhhhh-mazing!
And I want to take you with me.
The Design Influencer’s Tour & Behind-the-Scenes Access
I am thrilled to share that I have been one of the 10 design influencers selected to go BEHIND-THE-SCENES at High Point!! Each market, the committee selects 10 of the “most popular and insightful” design bloggers (somebody pinch me) to go backstage into exclusive design showrooms and exhibitions… and share these sneak peeks with you, our loyal, fashion-fabulous readers!
