A Look Back at 2021 & An Exciting Announcement!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we approach the end of another year, it’s only natural to look back at all that has been accomplished over the last 12 months. Of course, we entered into 2021 with uncertainty and confusion about what this year would hold, but I have to say…even through all the twists and turns, it’s been nothing short of amazing!

This year has held some significant growth for me, both personally and professionally, and through all of the hard work and changes it has brought, it’s been highly gratifying and full of excitement. But, if you can believe it, I’m even MORE excited for what’s in store for 2022, and you’ll see why soon. 😉

Before we skip ahead to next year, let’s give 2021 the attention it deserves by taking a quick look back at what made it so special.

The Exciting Addition of Full Home Renovation

This year brought the joy and honor of working on complete home design projects in San Francisco and LA and remote projects from the Berkshires to Texas! Do you know what this means?! With my growing expertise, my beloved clients (you) are now getting a total design experience instead of one room at a time. I could not be more excited about this!!!!

From Showhouses to Design Panels

To start, I participated in my first one-of-a-kind designer showhouse early in the year. It was a dream come true when I could attend the grand opening…in person! Not only this, but I also had the privilege of participating in my first set of design panels at Dallas Market, as well as making my first ever trip to High Point Market with the Design Bloggers Tour. A designer’s dream come true!

Getting to experience these events firsthand has been magical, and the upside or all this networking and new exposure? Our client projects are already running more smoothly than ever, with the newly established vendor relationships! And let’s not forget about the copious amount of inspo after seeing the upcoming innovations and trends in the design world. I already have some drool-worthy projects up my sleeve…just you wait. 😉

Creating Connections and Growing a Team

I’ve been fortunate enough to receive press from some of the most prestigious publications and shelter magazines. This brought some of the most amazing industry-wide connections with veteran designers and fantastic vendors. I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity as it has led me to grow my team, making it easier to take on larger-scale projects, which is really where we shine! The future’s looking bright, my friends.

Looking Forward to 2022

As I embark on a new year feeling eternally grateful for my family, my health, and a job that I love sooo much, I can’t help but set goals for even more growth in the upcoming year. I’ve always dreamed of creating my own rug collection, expanding my exotic stone business, and designing a sexy speakeasy or luxurious themed bar (hello, delicious cocktails!). You never know, 2022 could be the year!

Or perhaps, now that the world is reopening and it’s becoming safer to travel, it’s time to visit some of my fave places and broaden my horizons while gathering design inspiration to bring forth into your gorgeous homes. But that may have to wait a little longer, because…

Baby #2 is on the way!

I am delighted to share that our family will be growing next year! Amongst the chaos of managing both work and family, my husband and I underwent two rounds of IVF treatments. While it was intense and physically and emotionally exhausting, we are thrilled that Baby #2 will be arriving in 2022!!

This Calls for a Celebration

I may not be enjoying cocktails in their true glory these days, but that’s no reason you can’t celebrate and ring in the New Year in style — and I wouldn’t leave you without my best pick!

The Bourbon Champagne Cocktail is simply classic, joyfully bubbly, and flawlessly celebratory. What’s not to love!? It’s unexpected, yet exactly what’s needed to acknowledge achievements and welcome new possibilities in this crazy world. Give it a try for yourself + have a drink for me! So I can live vicariously through you, of course. 😉
